| If you are a member of the Bentonville RLUG you already received this tip in an e-mail from Wendi Nickel. I thought it would be beneficial to post here as well. By default Microsoft Internet Explorer will retreive your Retail Link query in Excel embedded in an Internet Explorer window. This is usually irritating to many users because it limits your menu selections in Excel. Here is a step by step procedure that will have your queries open in Excel as you would expect it to.
1. OpenWindows Explorer 2. Click on Tools in the menu then on Folder Options 3. Click once on File types tab. 4. Scroll down until to XLS which is Microsoft Excel Worksheet . 5. At the right of the white box, click once on Edit. This will take you to another screen. (this could be advance depending on your OS) 6. At the bottom of the screen, put a check mark in the box that reads confirm open after download. 7. Take the check mark out of Browse in same window. 8. Click ok on this screen and on the next | |
