This will convert a column of UPC's that are not 13 characters long and change them to 13 digits.
Assuming your UPC is in column A...
=rept(0,13-len(A2))&A2

Another formula option to do the same task in Excel. Again, assuming your UPC is in column A...
=TEXT(A1,"0000000000000")

Another way to get a 13 digit UPC is to right click on the cell, go to "format cell", choose the bottom option "custom", clear out whatever is under "type:" and type in thirteen zero's. Then just copy it down your column. easy. This works well for creating a 4 digit store number column too.
